adina has not had an inclination for drawing all her life and did not think of becoming an illustrator until recently. the idea came about during an exercise for a creativity class - "A page a day". it started with drawings based on daily readings. adina does have an inclination for solving puzzles: this is what this exercise turned into and that is how illustration turned into a path to follow full of delightful surprises.
a wonderfully written story, a couple of interesting characters, a compelling idea result in an image that will bring the reader into a world where words are more than black marks on paper. Adina's illustrations are filled with references to classical and popular culture and have been described as "cosmopolitan".
adina has a certificate in illustration from the school of the museum of fine arts in boston along a few more useless degrees. she lives and works in cambridge, MA.
